Montcalm Mile

-Cut off for Registration earlier

-Race start

-Have timing mat cross whole road at start (it did last year) – funneling runners did not work

-Change name from elite to racing? (maybe to encourage more female runners)

-Elite runners did not come?

-People who register on race day do not read form?

-Discuss fees – how to encourage more pre-registration

-Race bibs – good – no need to write info on bib

-Keep rec runners back from elite – for the entire time – no need to move upWhen they cross finish line and walk on sidewalk near mat, it sets off timer, but only the first beep counts.

-Kudos to the Race Wire crew – they did great problem solving and did not get flustered.  They worked  out problems with the race starting too early.

-Down load the excel file the night before and sort alphabetically.

-Warn people ahead of time when pre-registration will close (facebook, LaChute page)

-Finish line chute was good

-Find a common place for club materials

-Music and mike at finish would be good.

-Ask Heidi – was there too much change?

-The only two things I would bring up is that Racewire needs to communicate to the starter when they are ready (and they really should be ready for a 1:45 PM start) and perhaps set up a block, keeping runners who have finished away from the area where the Racewire people are working, so they don't set off the timer.  In addition, we need to emphasize to the runners that they need to cross the mat in order to start their times.
