Bridge Run Review, 2017

-It was another great race day I thought...some positive comments from runners: " really nice race, thank you, our first and we'll be back next year", " what a beautifully laid out course and so well marked", " a friend talked me into this and I am so glad they did, I'll be back next year better and stronger", " I like the vibe of this race... there's a really nice atmosphere here, I'm here because of my wife, but now I want us all come back next year", " thank you so much for doing this race, I look forward to it every year", "that was so much fun, I wish it wasn't over"...one negative comment,:  "What $25 dollars, are you kidding me? That's a lot of $!!"     ( He and his friends never did run cuz they only had a credit card)

-A couple of instructive comments: "we seemed to be following the people pulling up the course markers. By the time we got to the finish line it was already down" -“ I saw a kid who twisted their ankle and fell on the rocks with those holes, by the British ruins. They got right up and started running again though" -I pulled names and bundled raffle prizes for runners and volunteers alike ahead of time which was a great time saver and worked well.

-Great to see so many kids (Vt or NY?). Also the regular old guys from CA. One of my favorite races because of the cross country flair. The bird banders are a plus (they repaired a stroller for a mom in the race). Can't think of any minuses. It was such a nice day. Since there were so many kids

- the suggestions made that we add another age group - maybe 9 and under?

-The pen bag needs to be gone through before the next race - very few pens write

-Next year, we need more registration forms

-Start was at a good location with a monument in the background

-Interesting course and well laid-out, and well marked

-Interesting to see plenty of kids at the event.

-Event went smoothly.

-Mike, the CP liaison person, was extremely helpful

-Plenty of food.
